Stake Pulse Beat III: Format

The Stake Pulse tournament series is organised by Black Molly Entertainment and sponsored by Stake. It features 2 open qualifiers, with over 200 teams competing to take part in the finals.

The Stake Pulse Beat III finals are held at the BME Studio in Stockholm, Sweden and will feature 16 teams. The tournament begins on 12 October and concludes with the Grand Final on 17 October.

How the Stake Pulse Beat format works

Stake Pulse Beat III features 16 teams. This includes the 2 teams that qualified through the open online qualifiers.

The tournament is split into a group stage and playoffs. During the group stage, teams are organised into 4 groups.

Group A - Matches played on 12 October

  • Inner Circle

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

  • Betclic

  • Sangal

Group B - Matches played on 13 October

  • Liquid

  • 100 Thieves

  • Sashi

Group D - Matches played on 15 October

All matches are played to the best of 3 maps, and the group stage operates a double-elimination format. Following the opening matches of each group, the winners play a winners match. The losers play an elimination match. Then, the losers of the winners match and winners of the elimination match play a decider. At the end of this stage, the top 2 teams from each group advance to the playoffs.

8 teams enter the playoffs, which is a single elimination bracket. Matches are played to the best of 3 games, and an $80,000 prize pool is split between the top teams. The winners take home $30,000.
